Shawnee County Allied Tribes 2011 Wreath, 

decorated and donated, for the 

Annual Festival of Trees fund raiser.


Shawnee County Allied Tribes gave Prairie Band Potawatomi Social Services a donation to help provide Christmas dinner for some families on the reservation. We received the letter below:


Shawnee County Allied Tribes participated in the 2009 Festival of Trees. The wreath pictured below was created by members of the organization. The description in the Festival of Trees booklet read: "Native Traditions - Spirit of Nature Award. This 30" wreath features decorations handcrafted or donated by members of the Shawnee County Allied Tribes. The spirit of Native Americans comes shining through on this one-of-a-kind wreath and offers beautiful examples of Native American life and culture."


Shawnee County Allied Tribes provided the YMCA of Topeka a campership for the summer of 2010


At the Shawnee County Allied Tribes Annual Meeting April 13, 2009, the members approved of donation of $500 in support of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Pow Wow to be held June 12,13, 2009. The PBP Pow Wow will be held at the People's Park west of Mayetta, Kansas.

Also the members approved of a $250 donation to School District 501 Indian Education Summer Program, for 2010 and received the thank you letter above:
